A compilation of bilateral agreements between Canada and the Italian Republic across the areas of social protection, mobility, defence, justice, taxation, and civil aviation. This set includes the Social Security Agreement and its protocol; a framework agreement on the reciprocal recognition of drivers’ licences for exchange purposes; a youth mobility agreement; an exchange of notes providing for military exercises of the Italian Armed Forces in Canada; a mutual legal assistance treaty supporting cooperation in criminal matters; a protocol amending the 1977 taxation convention to avoid double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion; and an airworthiness agreement between the two governments. Together, these instruments support cooperation in social affairs, mobility, defence, judicial assistance, taxation, and aeronautical standards.
