This report highlights the government’s response to recommendations made in Crossing the Atlantic: Expanding the Economic Relationship between Canada and Europe. Topics include improving Canada’s image for investment by Europeans; promoting trade and investment activities and lowering trade barriers in Europe; achieving a free trade agreement with the European Union (EU); launching new World Trade Organization multilateral trade negotiations; expanding Canada-EU bilateral relationships; and assessing the effects of a growing EU.
