Shared Services Canada (SSC) Annual Reports to Parliament on the Administration of the Access to Information Act

The Access to Information Act came into effect on July 1, 1983, giving the public a right of access to information contained in government records, subject to certain specific and limited exceptions. Section 72 of the Access to Information Act requires that the head of every government institution submit an annual report to Parliament, detailing the administration of the Act within the institution for each fiscal year. It is under this provision that this annual report is tabled in Parliament. This annual report describes how Shared Services Canada (SSC) administered the Access to Information Act.
