Types of potential violations of the laws of the Office of Consumer Protection

This series of codes summarizes and groups the provisions of the laws whose supervision is under the responsibility of the Office de la protection du Consommation. An intrinsic severity level has been associated with each of these codes. These severity levels make it possible to systematize the prioritization of complaints received in order to be dealt with. The mechanism for prioritizing complaints as well as the intrinsic severity scale are presented in the [Guidelines for the process of prioritizing interventions in monitoring, analyzing and dealing with complaints] (https://www.opc.gouv.qc.ca/fileadmin/media/documents/a-propos/lignes_directrices.pdf “Guidelines”).
