Trade names for biopesticides

Biopesticides are grouped into three main categories, namely:

  • microbial agents: microorganisms (bacteria, algae, fungi, fungi, protozoa, viruses, mycoplasma or rickettsia and similar organisms) as well as any toxins and metabolites produced by them;

  • ecomones: chemical substances carrying information produced by a plant or animal or synthetic analogs of these substances, which elicit a behavioral response in individuals of the same species or other species;

  • unconventional products.

These lists are administrative in nature and have no official value. They indicate the type of product, its registration number, its trade name, the active ingredient (s) it contains and the class to which it belongs under the Regulation Respecting Permits and Certificates for the Sale and Use of Pesticides.
